Register a new account →Common Myths vs Real Facts About Gambling
Many players make decisions based on inaccurate assumptions. This section addresses common beliefs and explains how casino games actually work — knowledge that helps you make smarter choices.
"A slot that hasn't paid out in a long time is due to pay soon"
FactEvery slot spin is random and independent. Past results have no effect whatsoever on future results — there is no such thing as a slot being "due to pay".
"A losing streak means a big win is coming soon"
FactThis is known as the gambler's fallacy. Every outcome is statistically independent — a losing streak does not change the probability of the next win.
"There is a guaranteed system for winning at baccarat"
FactNo strategy eliminates the house edge. Baccarat is a game of probability — sound bankroll management matters more than any "guaranteed winning system".
"Depositing more increases your chances of winning"
FactThe deposit amount does not change a game's RTP or odds. A larger deposit simply means larger bets — both the risk and potential return increase proportionally.
"Playing at a certain time increases your chances of hitting a jackpot"
FactThe random number generator (RNG) operates the same way regardless of the time of day. Playing time gives no statistical advantage to the player.
"Casinos can adjust machines to pay out more or less at any time"
FactLicensed platforms under international licensing bodies are subject to regular audits. A game's RTP is set by the software developer and cannot be changed arbitrarily.
Gambling is adult entertainment for those aged 21 and above. Enjoy games responsibly and set spending limits that suit your means.
